Spanish Dual Language Forest School Summer 1-Week Class - 7/13-7/16
Our 6-week Spanish Dual Language summer school program at Buena Vista Park for Seedlings ages 2.5-4 offers the same emergent, student-led approach families know and love from the school year, thoughtfully adapted to the slower rhythm of summer. Learning is guided by children’s interests, questions, and discoveries in nature, allowing ideas and projects to unfold organically over time.
Now offered at an a-la-carte 1 Week option!
Time for movement, rest, nourishment, storytelling, and reflection is intentionally woven throughout the day, creating a balance of energy, focus, and calm.
Meeting consistently over six consecutive weeks allows relationships, routines, and long-term projects to deepen. This continuity supports sustained inquiry, collaborative problem-solving, and meaningful social growth. Children have the space to revisit ideas, refine their thinking, and follow their curiosity through to completion—building confidence and a strong sense of belonging within the learning community.
Families may also choose to extend the experience with an additional two-week immersion session, or one-week thematic specialty classes, offering even more time for language development, connection, and deep summer learning.
This class is also offered at our Batiquitos Lagoon location as a Classic Forest School option, where children are still immersed in learning through daily routines, play, storytelling, and exploration in nature.
Please Note:
We are always open to adding more sessions. Even if the class is full please add yourself to the waitlist as we may add more classes to the session depending on interest!

Children arrive and are welcomed into the space with calm routines, connection with teachers, and time to settle in through quiet play and exploration.
Children engage in open-ended play experiences designed to spark curiosity and imagination. Invitations may include building and construction, creative art, dramatic play, nature-based exploration, simple tool use, and cozy book browsing. Children choose how they play, with teachers supporting and guiding as needed.
We gather together for a snack, shared stories, songs, and conversation. Teachers guide group experiences that support early math and science thinking, language development, and connection to our world. A bathroom break is woven naturally into this time.
Children explore our surroundings through slow, purposeful walk-abouts. We pause to observe nature, follow interests, move our bodies, and extend learning through sensory and hands-on experiences.
Children enjoy a brief lunch together, followed by shared stories, gentle reflection on the morning, and a second bathroom break to support comfort and independence.
Children reunite with caregivers as the day closes with calm transitions and warm goodbyes.
